South Carolina No. 5 vs. 3rd Texas A&M: preview, how to watch, live updates

Texas A&M Women's Basketball

After a surprise loss to LSU in January, No. 5 Texas A&M (21-1, 12-1 SEC) won nine consecutive games, beating Alabama 73-67 on the road. The Aggies will then receive South Carolina Gamecocks number 5 (19-3, 14-1 SEC) at the end of each team’s regular season. The game will start at 2 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, February 28 on ESPN2.

As of February 26, South Carolina is at the top of the SEC ranking, with Texas A&M in second place. Both teams have a loss at the conference – meaning the regular season title is up for grabs on Sunday afternoon. A victory on Sunday also increases the winner’s chances of securing first place in the NCAA tournament.

Gamecocks have the best scoring defense of the conference, anchored by 2021 defensive player Naismith semifinalist Aliyah Boston. Texas A&M will attempt to counterattack with an offense with numerous double-digit scorers in Aaliyah Wilson, N’dea Jones, Ciera Johnson and Kayla Wells.
