South Carolina jumps to 81 confirmed cases

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, March 19, 2020 – To protect the health and safety of patients and staff members, Novant Health is further limiting visitation at all intensive care facilities in North Carolina. As of Friday, March 20, at noon, no visitors will be allowed in our intensive care facilities, except for mothers in labor and minor patients (under 18). Mothers in labor may have a partner and a person responsible for delivery accompanying them. Minors under 18 may have a visitor, parent or guardian. As a reminder, visitors who meet these exceptions must be healthy (without cough, fever or flu-like symptoms) and be at least 13 years of age or older unless they seek medical attention. Additional exceptions may be granted in special circumstances, such as end-of-life care.
