South Carolina Honors College is the best in the country – UofSC News & Events



For the fifth consecutive time, the University of South Carolina received the highest ranking among public school honor programs.

  • Classification is from publication, Inside Honors 2020-2021: Classifications and analyzes of 40 public university award programs.
  • South Carolina Honors College received a top rating in the biennial assessment in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.
  • Inner honors it is the only source for an evidence-based classification of colleges of honor. It bases the comprehensive assessment on 13 key metrics, including curriculum requirements, number of honorable classes offered, average class size, graduation rate and staff to student ratio.
