The University of South Carolina Board of Trustees met and approved a contract for new football coach Shane Beamer on Tuesday morning.
Beamer received a five-year contract with a salary of $ 2.75 million each season, making him the SEC’s lowest-paid technician.
He was officially hired on December 6.
The University will pay Beamer a base salary of $ 1,100,000 with outside pay (TV, radio, etc.) in the amount of $ 1,650,000 per season.
The first year head coach also has several performance incentives, including an extra $ 200,000 to participate in a SEC championship game; $ 250,000 for a SEC Championship win; a $ 500,000 bonus for participation in the CFB Playoff semifinal; $ 750,000 for participation in a national championship game; and $ 1,000,000 for the National Championship victory.
Beamer will also receive a suite at Williams-Brice Stadium containing sixteen seats, plus eight additional tickets; two automobiles; and membership in a country club and gastronomic club approved by the University.
