South Carolina accounts to watch in 2021

Let’s talk about laws this morning, guys. Laws comes from South Carolina Legislature, which is a group of men and women that we (the public) select to represent our respective districts.

O South Carolina Legislature It is divided inside two parts called Chamber of Deputies + The Senate and together these people create The general meeting. The House of Representatives is composed of 124 members + the Senate has 46 members.

O general meeting is in session in second Tuesday of January to second Thursday in May, but the session can be extended for specific circumstances. While the General Assembly is in session, all members participate in drafting or amending laws and all members can make ‘suggestions’ for new laws. These suggestions are how we managed accounts.

Account approval is not an easy task. So, here’s one few accounts in the works to keep an eye on South Carolina in 2021.

⚖️ Hands-free design, also known as S. 248, would be ban all South Carolina drivers in holding a cell phone or any another communication device While operating a motor vehicle, in most cases.

⚖️ Medical Marijuana, or S.150, has been a hot topic in SC for years. This bill could change the SC Compassionate Care Act to allow the sale of cannabis for certain conditions with dose restrictions + consumption methods, including just allowing the use of oils or consuming orally.

⚖️ Paid Family Leave, H. 5137, would give state employees 12 weeks paid family leave in 2021. The bill would be includes mothers + fathers after the birth or adoption of a new child + state employees who receive foster children.

⚖️ O Hate crime law, also known as H. 3036, would be add heavy penalties for a person who is convicted of a crime harm another person due to their race, religion, color, sex, age, nationality, sexual orientation or homelessness.

⚖️ S.16 would be require high school students in South Carolina for complete an economics class to graduate. The class would be designed to educate those who have not learned basic personal finance. Although some schools currently offer personal finance classes, it is not necessary at the state level.

Conta️ Summer account, or S. 11, has already been approved at the General Meeting. If the United States Congress changes the bill to authorize all states must observe daylight saving time all year, would be in force on the state of Palmetto. Currently, there are only two states that do not observe time changes – Hawaii and Arizona.
