CD Projekt RED was in the news again this week, confirming that it was the target of a ransomware attack. By gaining access to a large amount of employee data, this anonymous hacker also threatened to release The Witcher 3, Logbreaker: The Witcher Tales and Cyberpunk 2077’s source codes, giving the CD Projekt RED 48 hours to meet your demands.
CD Projekt RED later refused to negotiate, referring to the Polish personal data protection office This deadline has expired and now it appears that these source codes have been put up for auction.
