sorting the transfers that enter the list

South Carolina football added eight transfers and a trio of JUCO players in the off-season.

Shane Beamer and the new South Carolina football team had their work cut out for them during the off-season as they dealt with a reduced recruitment schedule and the replacement of several former players. In all, Gamecocks have seen a dozen players choose to leave the NFL Draft or enter the transfer portal after Will Muschamp’s resignation.

Beamer and Co. had the great task of replacing that talent lost by players from the portal or junior college, due to the fact that most of the students of the last year signed with their respective schools at the beginning of the hiring period.

Overall, most fans should be satisfied with the work Beamer did on the trail, as he won over talented players in positions of need, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Additions include the country’s sack leader, an ACC record wideout and one of the country’s best JUCO linebackers.

With that said, Gamecocks saw a number of newcomers ranked in the recent 247 Sports launch of the main transfers for the 2021 season. Let’s take a look, first, at what Gamecocks lost and also what the squad won.
