Sony’s PlayStation 5 is available at Best Buy [Update: Sold Out]

March 5, 2021 update at 1:00 pm (Eastern Time): Best Buy sold out the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition models. If you are still looking for a Xbox Series S, is still available on the retailer’s website.

The PlayStation 5 has been out for over three months. Since then, it has been one of the most difficult gadgets to buy. If you are looking for another chance to get this console, Best Buy has the PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 models available for purchase.

If you’re looking for an Xbox Series X / S, Best Buy has also replenished Microsoft’s next-generation consoles today.

The flagship of Sony’s next-generation console, starting at $ 399.99. The biggest difference between the two models is that the Digital Edition can only play digital games, while the $ 500 PS5 includes a disk drive, allowing you to play both digital and physical games.

Once you get your PS5, there are a few items that you will want to purchase for your console. Some of the most popular PS5 exclusives now include Demon’s Souls Remake by Bluepoint Games or the PS5 version of Yakuza: like a dragon, which is now available on Sony’s next generation console.

If you plan on playing local co-op with family or friends, an extra DualSense controller can also be a good item to choose from.

One thing I also recommend buying is a one-year subscription to PlayStation Plus, as the benefits of having a subscription are great for PS5 users. Most notably, it gives you access to the PlayStation Plus Collection, an exclusive privilege for PS5 owners, which provides access to “generation definition” titles that were originally released on PS4, including Bloodborne, Persona 5, and IV Uncharted: The end of a thief.

There is no way to expand SSD storage on your PS5 just yet, but Sony is expanding options for more SSD storage this summer. But, if you want to store some older PS4 titles on your console so as not to use your limited SSD storage, I strongly recommend buying an external hard drive to store those titles.
