Sony’s best noise-canceling headsets reach the lowest price so far on Amazon

Today’s Dealmaster features a good discount on Sony’s WH-1000XM4, as wireless noise-canceling headsets are currently down to $ 278 at various retailers. This represents about $ 70 off Sony’s MSRP, about $ 45 off the average selling price we tracked online and tied with the biggest price drop we’ve seen at a reputable retailer. We’ve seen this deal a few times since the launch of the headphones last August, including during the most recent set of Black Friday sales.

A clumsy name aside, the WH-1000XM4 is our recommended choice for most people among noise-canceling headsets. Phones do an excellent job of blocking external noise, with a design comfortable enough to be used for hours at a time, battery life of over 30 hours, USB-C charging and pairing of various devices, among other useful features. In terms of audio quality, they have a more bass-focused and consumer-friendly sound by default, but Sony’s convenient companion app includes an equalizer tool that allows you to create a more neutral sound if you wish. Competitors like Bose’s Noise Canceling Headphones 700 (which are also on sale today) offer clearer call quality and the ability to adjust the intensity of your noise cancellation, while Apple’s AirPods Max is one of the few wireless pairs which can approach the XM4 in terms of pure noise cancellation strength. Both are strong choices, but for most people looking for a premium set of wireless headphones, we think the Sony pair has the best combination of comfort, features, performance and, especially at this bargain price, value .

If you are already satisfied with your headphones, our round of offers also offers discounts on Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch accessories, Dell and LG monitors, external storage, wireless mice and more. You can check the full summary below.
