This is probably more than most people want to spend on a Bluetooth speaker, but it is a significant discount on the current $ 399 price for Move. Just as important, it appears to be more portable than that device, measuring 6.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches and weighing around a pound.

The battery life is said to be in the range of 10 hours at full charge. The speaker will have a USB-C port to complement it. Additionally, The Verge reports that you will be able to purchase a $ 49 wireless charging dock for the speaker. We will notice here that Sonos Move comes with one of those included in the box. Roam will also include waterproofing to some extent, although The Verge did not have an IP rating to share. And as with all other Sonos speakers, the company will offer it in two colors: white and black.
One thing the leak does not respond to is how Roam will help Sonos in a challenging market. A new, more affordable portable speaker is a smart addition to the company’s lineup, but it does little to help with your main problem. At Apple, Amazon and Google, the company faces competitors from all sides. O, and it may not sound as good as the venerable one, but they all surpass their $ 100 prices. We will have to wait until we get a better answer to that question.
