Sonoma winery will pay $ 10K to work, live without rent a year

If you expect that glass of wine every night, it may be time to quit your day job.

Murphy-Goode Winery is offering you the chance to work with them for a year, without paying rent, in the beautiful Sonoma wine country, with a salary of $ 10,000 a month.

All you need to do is sign up with a video explaining why you would be a good candidate to work at your California winery.

Located on the outskirts of San Francisco, in the Alexander Valley region, any wine connoisseur who needs a lifestyle change can take advantage of this opportunity.

The Murphy-Goode website cleverly publicized the job list as “a really Goode job” and explained how the goal was to hire someone who wanted to get into the wine business.

“Looking for a change in your career and follow your passion? Do words like Cabernet, Rosé and Chardonnay just come out of your mouth? The list asked.

“Tell us why you want a Very Good Job. Start the first 90 days of your Really Goode Job by shading winemaker Dave Ready Jr. and exploring all aspects of the harvest. From there, we will work with you and your passions to help you choose your path in the wine business. The sky is your limit! ”

The work is scheduled to start in September, and the application deadline is June 30.

The company added that it would help the lucky candidate “develop strong working relationships between the functions of the winery” and “work with teams to raise awareness and create demand for the Murphy-Goode winery”.

It did something similar in 2009, with an initial focus on documenting work on social media platforms.

Founded in 1985, Murphy-Goode decided to bring the position back this year “while the country faces a new set of challenges” amid the ongoing pandemic.

To apply, you must be legally allowed to drink, be a legal resident of the United States and be able to raise 50 pounds.

But perhaps the biggest requirement of them all? You must love wine.
