Since the reopening of the pandemic, Disney World has made many operational changes to adapt and create a safe theme park environment for visitors. One of the main things that are suspended at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is FastPass +.

Guests used to make a FastPass + reservation on their My Disney Experience app before arriving (or even while they were) at the Disney Park of their choice to help skip some of the long lines that Walt Disney World can be known for. When the parks reopened in July, FastPass +, along with many other offers that were normally offered at Disney World, ended up being paused and suspended for the time being during the pandemic era.

Now, months later, certain things, like Park Hopping, have returned to the park, but FastPass + remains unavailable to visitors.

We recently reported that the FastPass + signage on Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom has been covered up, and now Kilimanjaro Safaris has done the same thing. While at Animal Kingdom today, we realized that the FastPass + sign, which normally guided visitors with applicable passes in a separate row, was no longer visible.

So why is Disney starting to remove or cover up its FastPass + signals and what does this mean for the service?

Well, Disney hasn’t noticed that FastPass + is coming to an end, but we may not be able to see the service return for quite some time. As the 50th anniversary approaches, there may be visitors arriving in Orlando who have never visited Disney World before. It can be confusing for Visitors to see a sign that says FastPass + on all attractions when you have no idea what it is for or if you can use it. There is also the possibility that Disney is moving the queue to Kilimajaro Safaris to accommodate both sections of the queue.

The cast members who were working on the attraction shared that the FastPass + signal will be covered for now.

For now, we don’t have a clear answer as to why the signage is apparently starting to disappear, but over time, we will start to get a clearer picture of whether this is the new normal or something that Disney is just doing with a select one. some attractions.
