Someone made a bot that turns Reddit’s arguments into Phoenix Wright: Court scenes from attorney Ace

A code-savvy Redditor created a bot that turns Reddit’s arguments into Ace Attorney’s court scenes. As reported by Mashable, you can see the bot in action on the creator’s micah5 YouTube channel. The bot will read a section of the provided Reddit topic and insert the text into a court debate between Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright, thrilling and objecting to each other’s claims.

Micah uses a neural network to check the tone of each comment, and if it is considered ‘negative’, the bot will count as an objection, while more positive comments will see the happiest charcater sprites. If more than two users are part of the debate, they are represented by tertiary characters from Ace Attorney, helping the two most prominent commentators to fight. You can try it for yourself by commenting! Objectionbot in a comment topic on Reddit – the bot will apparently take about 10 minutes to create the video and will send a message back to you with a link to the video (although Micah indicates that it is still full of errors) The bot’s source can also be found here if you want to delve into how it all works.

Micah told Mashable that the bot took three days to complete and that they plan to keep it running “for a few months”. In other Ace Attorney news, here’s our review of the next-generation Phoenix Wright collection: Ace Attorney Trilogy, which was released in April 2019. We scored 7.5 for providing a “solid collection of court dramas”.
