Some local Weis pharmacies that administer COVID vaccines | Cheers

SUNBURY, Pa. – Weis Markets said it will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines at 55 of its Pennsylvania pharmacies on Thursday.

Weis pharmacy staff will prioritize people aged 65 and over for COVID-19 immunizations. Weis pharmacies will also prioritize COVID-19 immunizations for people aged 16 to 64 with high-risk diseases, including cancer, chronic kidney disease, smoking, COPD, heart disease, Down syndrome, obesity and diabetes.

To receive the vaccine, customers must schedule an appointment with a Weis-certified immunizer on the company’s website.

Registration for consultations is available the day before immunization and it is necessary to cover the face. To ensure the vaccine’s effectiveness, Weis pharmacies will schedule customers for a second immunization four weeks after the first injection.
