Outriders is an always online game that you can play alone. Normally, you cannot pause even when you are alone. But a smart PC player has found a way to pause the game using his Nivida GPU.

As Dark Souls and The division, while playing Outriders, even alone, you cannot pause the game. The only way you can stop playing and get a drink is to find a corner in a quiet part of the map and hide your character. Or wait for the servers to fail. But if you have a Nivida GPU, there is a way to pause the game while playing alone. This method was shared by the Reddit user Aced bread.

It’s quite simple: Outriders supports Ansel de Nivida resources, allowing you to pause the action and move the camera around to get some cool images. So, if you need to pause the PC and have the right GPU, just press Alt + F2 and that’s it, the game has been paused.

Here is a short video showing this method.

This only works when playing solo. If you have other players in your game, Ansel will still be activated, but the action will not stop.

This interesting solution makes me wonder if a legitimate and appropriate pause feature could be implemented in the main game. This would allow people on the console and those who do not use Nivida GPUs to have a chance to stop and take a break in the bathroom in the middle of a fight.
