‘Soho Karen’ striker accused has DUI, public intoxication raps: report

“Soho Karen” who allegedly accused jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold’s 14-year-old son of stealing his iPhone at a hotel had two problems with the law last year – one for public intoxication and one for drunk driving, according to a report.

Miya Ponsetto, 22, who NYPD sources identified to The Post as the woman captured on camera falsely accusing Keyon Harrold Jr., was arrested in Beverly Hills for public intoxication on February 28, the Daily Mail reported, citing police reports and records of the court.

The case is still pending and she is due to arrive in court on January 28, according to the agency.

And on May 28, she was arrested for drunk driving near Calabasas, a city in Los Angeles County where Kim Kardashian owns a large property, the Daily Mail said.

Ponsetto was charged on four counts of misdemeanor – two for driving with alcohol, one for driving with a suspended license and one for illegal use of a driver’s license, according to the report.

In September, she did not contest the DUI charge. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 14.

Ponsetto was also cited in a civil suit involving an eviction for non-payment in August 2019, the vehicle reported, citing court records.

Photos posted online under the name of Ponsetto seem to coincide with the young woman who attacked the boy at the Hotel Arlo in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood.

“No, I won’t let you take my phone away!” she screamed at one point, according to a video clip posted online by older Harrold.

NYPD Detective Chief Rodney Harrison this week tweeted a montage surveillance video clips that also included an image of the woman’s face with the word “WANTED” in red letters.

He said the NYPD “is asking the public to help locate the suspect in this video,” which he said “falsely accused an innocent 14-year-old teenager of stealing his cell phone, then physically attacked him and fled the scene. “

On Tuesday, the woman told CNN that she “worries” about the consequences – but maintains her claim that she was assaulted during the incident.

She said that when she realized her iPhone was missing, she demanded to watch a surveillance video from the hotel lobby – and then asked everyone in the lobby to “empty their pockets” before choosing Keyon Jr. as their suspect.

“That’s when things got a little more serious,” she told CNN in a telephone interview.

She then launched herself against the teenager and his father, who was defending his son from the charges.

During a fight not fully captured in the clip, said the older Harrold, the woman scratched him and grabbed the boy.

He said that shortly after the confusion, an Uber driver appeared with the woman’s missing phone.

The NYPD said it plans to beat the woman with raps that may include assault, theft or attempted theft, while Mayor Bill de Blasio called the conflict “pure and simple” racism.
