Scott Disick’s breakup with Sofia Richie came after the young model gave him an ultimatum – chose me or Kourtney Kardashian.
The star of the 37-year-old reality show made the revelation in the premiere episode of the 20th season of “Keeping It Upset with the Kardashians”, saying that Richie established the law during a July 4th hangout in Malibu.
He ended up ending his relationship with the 22-year-old daughter of singer Lionel Richie, although he is also not back with Kardashian.
He told Kim and Sister Khloé on the show that he tried to prioritize Richie, but she still felt neglected and thought he prioritized his ex-friend Kourtney, with whom he was the father of three children.
Kourtney and Disick had an intermittent relationship from 2006 to 2015 and share three children, Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 6.
“Even though I did that, I feel like she started wanting to push Kourtney out and I said, like, ‘This is the most important thing for me, it’s my kids and this is my family and the only family I have,'” he explained . . “Including you together with him.”
He added: “And she said, ‘I don’t want to share you as a boyfriend with Kourtney’ and then she literally said with an ultimatum, ‘You have to choose me or Kourtney’.”
Disick said he understood her feelings and wanted to work with her on a solution, but he chose Kourtney because she is the “unit” of his family.
“I said, ‘How can you want this for me?’ It became an impossible relationship to continue, ”he said to Khloé and Kim.
“I will never give up on my relationship with Kourtney and the co-parenting we have,” he explained in a confessional. “Nothing in a million years will be worth what we have and I truly believe that if the right person showed up in Kourtney’s life or in my life, having children and having this incredible relationship would only be an advantage for outsiders.”
Richie and Disick split for the first time after three years of dating in May.
“Life gets really weird when you’re living with someone and your world gets so small and you spend 24 hours a day with people,” Disick explained in a confessional during the episode. “I mean, you can look at the news and see that people are getting divorced left and right. And I definitely think it created a problem between Sofia and me, and I think we kind of saw some things in each other that weren’t on the same page, I think. “
Disick is now dating Amelia Hamlin and Richie was the last linked to Matthew Morton.
Meanwhile, Kourtney is dating Travis Barker.
