The Justice League Snyder Cut won a bizarre new promotion in the form of a meal kit with themed dishes linked to different DC characters. The long-awaited version of the director will be released on HBO Max on March 18, finally allowing fans to see Snyder’s unadulterated vision for the DCEU superhero team. The new version of Snyder was originally planned as a four-part miniseries, but has since been changed to a single extended movie.
For years after Justice League theatrical release, fans cried over the release of Snyder’s intended version of the film. These loyal followers have only become more zealous since the Snyder Cut was confirmed to reach HBO Max, and the interim months saw all kinds of promotional materials to further increase the excitement. A new black and white trailer, posters in honor of classic comics and much more flooded the internet as the Synder Cut launch approaches.

The latest Snyder Cut is a little less orthodox – a meal kit, which fans can order to send home, with special dishes connected to various Justice League characters. The “Mother Box” kit, currently available for pre-order in Wonderland, starts at a basic cost of $ 130 for two people or $ 260 for four. The box is available for delivery from Thursday, April 15 – almost a month after the debut of Snyder Cut on HBO Max. Dishes include Ocean Trench – “Icelandic cod and chips with trench sauce” – and The Big Belly Burger – “An infamous fast food hamburger from the DC universe, served with condiments.” Other dishes listed do not have descriptions listed, encouraging fans to “Follow us for the revelation!”
At best, the Wonderland parent box is a strange choice for a superhero promotion. The cost is not entirely exorbitant, $ 65 per person, but it is certainly expensive. Food ties for highly successful films and comic book adaptations are by no means new, but $ 130 is a far cry from the fast food toys and special offers that have historically been the norm.
It is also strange that the Mother Box meal kit is not available until a month after the launch of the Snyder Cut. The Wonderland page has the movie trailer built in, making it clear which movie the box should connect to. Warner Bros. certainly hopes that Snyder’s Justice League it will remain a popular topic weeks after its release, but it still looks like an earlier release for the meal kit would make more sense. Regardless, fans will be able to enjoy their own Justice League– Homemade dishes inspired from April 15th.
