‘SNL’ stays away from Biden in the first episode since opening

“Saturday Night Live” avoided the Biden government in its first episode since its inauguration – and the omission has not gone unnoticed by some viewers.

The skit show did not feature portraits of President Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday night, choosing instead to mock the Republican Republican controversy Marjorie Taylor Greene, the launch of the COVID-19 vaccine and the GameStop saga.

“Why doesn’t SNL make ANY sketch about Biden ???” a person grabbed on twitter.

Another viewer I wrote: “Disappointed, I expected a stronger and funnier episode. Given Trump’s departure, Biden’s tenure and was that the first episode of the new year? “

The show consistently drew on Alec Baldwin’s impression of former President Donald Trump during his tenure and also forged Joe Biden during the 2020 elections.

However, after a month-long break, some were surprised to not see an impression of Biden on the screen.

“I really wanted SNL to cover Biden’s ownership …” a viewer wrote.

Lorraine Ali, the TV critic of the Los Angeles Times, noted that it seemed that SNL “suddenly seemed lost” without Trump and that the show “struggled to find its foundation”.
