Skydio X2 recognized with CES 2021 Best of Innovation award

Skydio X2 – an AI-enhanced drone made for Enterprise and First Responder use – was recognized with an award before CES 2021. The virtual convention starts on January 12.

CES is the largest consumer electronics fair on the market. And part of the excitement surrounding the event comes from seeing the products and technologies that are recognized with awards. You always know that if he was chosen to receive attention on this show, it is probably worth looking at. This year, the Skydio X2 drone was recognized with the CES 2021 Best of Innovation award.

Let’s take a closer look.

What are the Best of Innovation awards?

Well, the CES Innovation Awards program is an annual event, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). A panel of judges reviews design and engineering criteria for around 28 product categories. These judges include designers, engineers, members of the media and more.

This year, they chose Skydio X2 as the winner in the Drones and Unmanned Systems category.

We are excited and honored to receive the CES 2021 Best of Innovation award for X2. This award is a testament to our vision of the future for autonomous drones and the incredible work of our engineering team. The X2 offers innovative intelligence and robustness that allow professional pilots to get the job done faster, more accurately and with peace of mind. Our goal is to make drones easier and safer to use than ever before, while opening entirely new use cases based on autonomous flight.

This year’s conference is virtual

No surprise here, but CES 2021 is a virtual meeting. There really was no other choice in the matter, since a meeting of this size would have been a super-popularizing event for COVID-19.

Given that CES is always a practical event – walking for miles to see what’s new and better – it will be interesting to see how the virtual version unfolds. DroneDJ is accredited and we will certainly bring you the latest news from the convention floor.

Errr … actually, let’s say the latest news from my laptop. Anyway, we have everything for you!
