Beat Michigan.
Word of the day: I hate it.
GOLD TROUSERS JERSEYS. The football team has celebrated a Michigan victory with Gold Pants for over 80 years. But currently, we are beating this team in everything – not just in football.
Last year, Chris Holtmann decided that his team needed some comparable bling after a season sweep of the Wolverines, awarding gold shirts to the team. And with Michigan only on the schedule once this year (unless there is a postseason meeting), the Buckeyes have a chance to win another Gold Jersey on Sunday.
This sparked a discussion about the tradition of Ohio State footballers winning “golden pants” to celebrate each victory against the Wolverines. Ideas for a basketball equivalent – a ball? a tennis? – were discussed, and the director of basketball operations, David Egelhoff, contacted the football program for details on how theirs are done.
Then came the next, and undoubtedly the biggest question: how can the team win them over in a sport with the potential for multiple matches in a single season? With a schedule of 20 Big Ten games, there is a real possibility that teams can meet twice in one season, as well as in the conference tournament.
“I wouldn’t be happy to get a (gold) jersey if it was 1-2 against Michigan,” said Egelhoff. “I say, ‘Guys, we have to sweep them up. You can’t lose to Michigan and win a gold jersey. ‘”
And for those who want a photo of the products, Clay Hall was kind enough to share the photo of the state of Ohio with everyone on The Bird app:

I love it, and it actually makes a Gold Jersey an even more elusive award than Gold Pants. On the one hand, these games are likely to be more difficult (after all, Michigan * is * a basketball school) and there will be more of them. There is a chance that the Buckeyes will have to defeat the Wolverines two, three or even four times to get these gems.
I think Ohio State football could technically have that problem in the future too if the Buckeyes beat Michigan in the regular season and then found them again at College Football Playhahahahahhahahahahaha, it doesn’t matter.
“THE BEST 45 MINUTES OF SPORT.” The list of legendary Buckeye athletes is long. But in fact, it just needs to be a name, because Jesse Owens is in a class of his own.
A year before Jesse Owens won gold in Berlin, he set three world records and tied a fourth at the Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor by @OhioStAthletics.
It was nicknamed “The best 45 minutes of the sport”.

Four world records for very different events in less than 45 minutes. This is a brand that no one will ever come close to touching again.
TWO-SPORT STAR? I couldn’t tell you the last time the state of Ohio had a legitimate game of two football / basketball sports, but it certainly didn’t happen in my memory, or in the memories of any of my much older co-workers ( sorry, guys, but it ‘s the truth).
But it looks like this guy will have a chance to accomplish a relatively unprecedented feat.

The skeptic in me would normally see this as a cheap recruiting ground for the country’s number one footballer, but honestly I think it is legitimate for a few reasons.
To begin with, Ohio doesn’t really have to play to get elite football players, especially on the defensive line. And they don’t, and they never really did. Terrelle Pryor did not receive a basketball scholarship offer in 2008, and JT Tuimoloau does not have one this year, and none of these guys are bad basketball players.
Second, he’s a 2022 Ohio State guard teammate with Bruce Thornton, so there’s a real connection to the hoops, it’s not just a random offer. Then again, his scholarship would be for the football team and he would basically be a free player for the basketball team, so it’s not like there’s a big risk involved, anyway.
Anyway, he is in the class of 2023 and I try not to spend too much energy thinking about students in the second year of high school. This is Zack’s department.
I’m going back to fiery Michigan online.
OKLAHOMA, BUT SHIT. It looks like Michigan is trying to make a run for Oklahoma’s “Transfer QBU” crown. But, unfortunately, the Wolverines seem to focus only on the “transfer” part.
All but 1 of Michigan’s initial QBs (McNamara) were moved to IN or OUT during the Jim Harbaugh era:
Rudock – IN (Iowa)
Speight – OUT (UCLA)
O’Korn – IN (Houston)
Peters – OUT (Illinois)
Patterson – IN (Ole Miss)
Milton – OUT (???)McCaffrey also left (N. Colorado)

Joe Milton would be the 3rd QB to start in Michigan under Jim Harbaugh and then transfer, joining Wilton Speight and Brandon Peters.
The state of Ohio has had 1 transfer of QB in the past 50 years (Austin Moherman in 1999). https://t.co/MnhgmPJT9h

I would say that the transfer portal has been significantly more kind to the state of Ohio in recent years. I think we’re lucky.
SONG OF THE DAY. “We don’t give a damn about the whole state of Michigan.” the best damn band in the country.
NOT SUITABLE FOR SPORTS. The missing princesses of Dubai … Within the hidden society of lightning survivors … She always knew she was adopted, but she just discovered that she is probably the daughter of an infamous murderer … One day in 1983, we almost exploded hell off the planet … The mountain you can’t climb …
