Sixers Bell Ringer: Sixers dominant on both ends in victory over Indiana

Note: No traditional recap post for this game.

Sixers Bell Ringer season ranking:

Joel Embiid – 15
Ben Simmons – 7
Tobias Harris – 6
Milton Shake – 3
Tyrese Maxey – 1
Dakota Mathias – 1
Matisse Thybulle – 1

For a change, the Philadelphia 76ers were on the right side of an imbalanced 3-point disparity, knocking down 15 triples, against just eight for the Indiana Pacers, in a convincing 130-114 victory. Philadelphia took control in the second quarter, beating Indiana 39-23 in the period to lead 17 in the interval. The Sixers then opened the game with a 15-0 streak in the third quarter, allowing holders to take the fourth quarter of the bank’s socially distant area. We will select tonight’s Bell Ringer, with apologies for some of the omissions in what was an excellent performance by the entire team.

Golf applauds Myles Turner, who did not get in trouble for a change while protecting Joel Embiid. However, I’m not sure if Turner really did anything to delay Joel. The great Sixers man stood out in his 27 minutes of action, throwing 10 of 17 from the ground and 3 of 3 from the free-throw line. Indiana played many starting doubles teams in Joel, but he quickly did the right readings to find teammates open to 3. Otherwise, Embiid applied his usual penalty inside, but also made the shot work, including this Memorial Markelle Fultz hesi pulls the top of the key. The real hoopers know.

Milton Shake: 26 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 turns

The calendar changes to March and Shake Milton changes to domination mode. The Sixers’ sixth man was a walking bucket on Monday night, shooting 9 out of 14 from the field, 3 out of 5 out of 3 and 5 out of 5 into the charity strip. Shake hit a 4-point play early, and continued to play with his usual range of pull-up jumpers and contorted finishes. He also had some fantastic settings for his teammates, meeting Tony Bradley at the end of the game for a dunk that made Marc and Alaa laugh about “Milton, Bradley” of everything. Shake to get to your seats with ease and take the defenders out of your shoes? Register me.

Ben Simmons: 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 4 turns

(Comment posting section from my wife, who chose Ben as her favorite Sixer move this season).

Ben was great. He’s a champion. Smooth style, effortless grace.

Mike Scott: 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 turns

Four were looking forward to replacing the Sixers in 4th place. Mike Scott had a perfect 4-of-4 on the pitch, including 3-of-3 out of 3, playing that floor spacing role perfectly. He also recorded a record of four steals. Sorry, All-Star Domantas Sabonis, this is a real man thing here in painting.

Furkan Korkmaz: 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 2 turns

Furkan was instrumental in the first big wave of the Sixers tonight, taking down three 3s in a three-minute stretch in the middle of the second quarter. Korkmaz had the green light all night, finishing 6 out of 13 behind the arch. Make it rain, Furky.
