Does anyone else need to lie down? Because I’m exhausted. I need to take about a gallon of CBD, apply no less than seven patches from IcyHot and just relax. I would like to have the stamina I had in my youth, but if I think about a motel pillow or the complete racial destruction of a real dating franchise, I have to take an Epsom salt bath. There has been a lot Bachelor content, controversy and absolute chaos in the last two weeks that I can barely keep up with. It is this season of The bachelor a 2003 movie starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, because that shit is coming at me very fast and very furious. So here we are, in a season that seems to last forever and is inevitable, in the special The Women Tell All, and THIS IS NOT HELPING.
Since the disclaimer at the beginning that it was filmed on February 4, 2020, then the spectral amorphous appearance may have temporarily taken a human form, Matt James’ new beard, to women insisting that the real feminist act is not to gossip about its toxic behavior, to three possible single editions (maybe four?!?!), this Women Tell All was a wild ride and I’d like to start now.
Come on.
Among many things that need to be brought to our attention immediately, there were many dates that we have not seen. When Chris Harrison started setting up meetings that didn’t air to distract me from the fact that none of these women liked or respected each other, I thought, “Did they make them feel around a box of insects? What television show is this? ”Matt sat down with JoJo and Tayshia and did a bootleg Hot Guys episode outside the Fat Bird resort, and unless I went into some kind of pocket dimension, we didn’t see any of that. It just shows that editing and narrative decisions this season favored drama and stinginess rather than literally everything else. I don’t know if I wanted to watch Chelsea and Abigail petting a bunch of cockroaches in search of a diamond ring, but man, I would have loved some context about what the hell I’m looking at.
After the opening montage, where we are reminded that everyone is attracted to Matt James and Sarah it was a whole thing that happened, it’s time to stumble across some of the conflicts. MJ and Jessenia! MJ says that she was just trying to inject some humor into the house and Jessenia claims that she had to act based on what she saw MJ do and not on her intentions, which is fair! Somehow, Mari elected herself as a secondary interviewer and said, “You can say a lot of things about MJ, but you can’t say that she is a fake.” Nobody said she was fake, Jessenia said she was encouraging the alienation of the new women. MJ also says that she will not destroy anyone, except when she calls the new women the JV compared to the original women who are “from high school”.
Then the conversation shifts to Victoria being “hostile” to the new women, and again, some of the women try to paint Victoria as just a misunderstood joke. Ah yes, that classic comedy routine where you constantly call other women sluts and sluts on national television! Ryan says she is tired of being called a “bitch” on television just because she is a dancer. She also says that dancers bring excitement and entertainment and … of course … yes. Victoria just said, “Well, are you, like, super sensitive? Because people are being really mean to me online and I just laugh at it. ”Yes, these are completely equivalent experiences, being teased by the strap of your bra showing ALL THE TIME and being called a slut from behind.
Honestly, I wish we didn’t have to speak to Victoria. It is very clear what she is doing. Instead of admitting the harm she has done to other people or even categorically denying what she has done or said, she is explaining why other women cannot cope with what she is giving out. They are very sensitive, they cannot laugh about it, they carry their anger for a long time, because they are talking about it now. Because it’s the special reunion! We are here to talk about the season and make our last attempt to become Single. Victoria claims that she was called horrible things and she is was able to ignore that, so the other women shouldn’t hold Victoria responsible.
Katie jumps up to say that she couldn’t just let Victoria and others hit people in the house and Furthermore It hurts to see someone call you “disgusting” over and over. She goes too far, however, when she says that maybe it’s karma that everyone is realizing that being part of a group of mean girls in the house isn’t exactly going to win fans on social media. Chelsea says, “Wait … just a second.” She does not appreciate the hatred they have received from being called “karma”. I’m sure that POC’s competitors are getting a very particular kind of reaction online for just being there, and that should be put in a different category of people who tease Victoria about her wobbly eye. But … Chelsea doesn’t seem to be doing this. She starts this line of questioning where Katie is the real villain because she told Matt about the problems at home. After all, what is feminism if not to let women torture themselves without consequences?
Mari says that Katie was the toughest on Sarah and after she met Sarah and heard her side of the story, she was able to approach Sarah with more and better empathy! This is called BEING FAKE, KATIE. There is absolutely no desire on the part of the women who were instigating the cursing and bullying to admit the fact that yes, they fucked up. They can and must admit that now and any attempt to cast Katie as the villain is trying to avoid responsibility under the guise of false feminism. I would call it “white feminism”, but the bunch of mean girls is very diverse.
Next is Brittany on the hot seat. It is absolutely confusing that they made her watch a montage of Anna calling her escort. Brittany talks about the depression she went through after the season when she was avoiding her friends and family. Brittany says her life has changed forever because when you search on Google, “Brittany Bachelor escort of charges ”are the first 20 results. She says that although Anna offered an anemic apology, she could have contacted him personally. She says that no occupation deserves less love than another; there is nothing wrong with being a sex worker, just how our society treats them. Anna is basically like, “Oh my God! My bad! This all sucks! I can’t believe I did that ”, when Anna’s whole vibe is“ spreading rumors about half of her fraternity ”.
Now it’s time for our fashion show single hopeful. Katie, Abigail, Serena P. and Pieper have their turn in the hot seat. Katie’s montage starts with her shaking a vibrator and ends with a feeling of surprise, asking why she is single at 30, but learning to accept herself. Abigail talks about being disappointed by Matt not giving him enough time to deepen his connection. She also talks about how she doesn’t exactly fit into the “deaf capitalist community” because she doesn’t subscribe. I know it’s not the show’s responsibility to tell her story, but man, what a waste of shit. If someone had explained to Matt how this was supposed to work and hadn’t let him cheat on her, she might have been able to arrange a private meeting to talk about her life. She says she is happy to have been shown in a romantic light because the shortcomings are not always portrayed that way. Pieper says he allowed himself to feel all his emotions towards Matt, so being taken aback by him made her close, but she is ready to grow up and never settle down again. Serena P. still worries about Matt, but didn’t want to realize that she was preventing him from exploring another relationship that might be more right for him. Her mother knew that Serena was not happy and thank God for perceptive mothers and sisters.
It’s time for Matt and his new beard to sit down and face the women. Chris Harrison asks why he decided to grow a beard and Matt says he feels wiser. He also says he likes to put some baby powder on his beard and look in the mirror and imagine what a grandfather would be like! Matt spends most of his time assuring women (white) who have misbehaved that they really have a good heart and that he likes them. He can’t judge anyone because he’s never been a competitor on the show before, so who knows what someone would do in that situation ?! I do not know, dude. I’m sure being on the show is very stressful, and any kind of Christianity that makes you lead a spontaneous prayer in a room full of strangers teaches you not to judge, but you can judge someone who calls someone a prostitute as an insult, at least a little bit. Being in a new stressful environment is not an excuse or mitigating factor for violating basic human laws of decency.
Victoria takes it a step further and starts to cry as she thanks Matt for believing in her and explains how her departure was so dramatic because she was going through layers of pain. Matt says he knows her heart and would like to have done more for her and her relationship. Bitch, what? It is very annoying, knowing what we know about how this season unfolded, to see white women chosen as gentle and misunderstood gentlemen who act badly, but then shed a tear and are rescued by the first Black Bachelor. I’m surprised that Matt didn’t put on an old trilby, picked up a stick and tied it up, whistled a cheerful tune and disappeared into the smoke now that his mission was complete.
It’s time for the women who were sent home by Matt to interrogate him. Katie, Pieper and Abigail have the same question: “How did I get caught off guard?” Everyone was taken aback because Matt tends to treat each and every romantic partner in the same way, so they had no way of knowing whether Matt just liked them or liked-them-liked-them. He is also able to tell how each of them taught him something or helped to lead the group in some way. This is exactly what every woman wants to hear after a breakup: “You were a valuable member of the team”.
It’s time for the ultimate fun when we watch a montage of Matt kissing with his eyes open. WHAT’S GOING ON HERE? He I did not know should you kiss with your eyes closed!?!?! No. This is too far. This is very strange. He says he’s trying to spy on women because his eyesight is poor, so it’s the only time he can get a good look at them, or no one has ever told him that he shouldn’t do that. It’s one or the other, Matt. You either chose to do this or no one said that you can’t do this. Didn’t anyone tell you that you can’t do this? Have you never been with someone? You never kissed a woman and she screamed directly into your mouth when she realized you were looking at her nose? Please remove all footage of this man kissing for the rest of the season. Some women said they tried to correct the behavior and he doesn’t do it all the time, so he knows he should be ashamed of his transgressions. He kisses so badly and gets horny watching a hot woman get out of a hot tub. Has anyone checked if this is a Big situation?
We ended up with some classic mistakes and Chris Harrison can’t wait to have an audience in the studio again. You may be waiting a while, Chris …
