With the Senior Bowl complete, NFL Draft the season is officially underway. To start, I’m launching a 7-round 7-round NFL Draft Mock. After the Saturday night blockbuster negotiation, which will send Matthew Stafford for the Rams and Jared Goff for Lions, I try to design where the best four defenders can end up. I also identify some team adjustments with several potential customers. Come on.

2021 7 rounds NFL Mock Draft | First round
1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
We all know this choice. Although we can debate the merits of hiring Urban Meyer as head coach, Meyer only accepted this job as a coach Trevor Lawrence.
With players like DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault Jr. to play, Lawrence will have some weapons early on in Jacksonville. I know it’s boring, but this choice is the only one in this 7-round NFL Simulated Draft that I feel comfortable writing on a Sharpie.
2. New York Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
That choice is where the draft really starts. As of now, two scenarios in my mind take place here. Scenario A is the jets taking Zach Wilson. It seems quite clear at this stage that he will be the second defender off the table in the NFL’s 2021 Draft. The Jets have enough ammunition to build around them, and it fits the San Francisco 49ers scheme that Robert Saleh and his team will implement.
Scenario B is the Jets negotiating down to build around Sam Darnold. However, as I am avoiding any negotiations in this 7-round 2021 NFL Simulated Draft, we will proceed with scenario A.
3. Miami Dolphins (via HOU): DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
PFN Insider Benjamin Allbright said DeVonta Smith for dolphins it can be “drawn in pencil. ”The Heisman winner has the opportunity on Mobile to work directly with the Dolphins team. Concerns about size don’t seem to be enough to knock him down on any recruiting board.
4. Atlanta Falcons: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio
Atlanta is in an interesting scenario here. Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot made history in emphasizing offensive lines, so Penei Sewell could be at stake here. However, you don’t usually choose high enough to have a quarterback of the future when you have a good beginner in front of him.
As such, Atlanta takes Justin Fields On here. He can sit behind Matt Ryan for a while and be comfortable with Smith’s attack until the Falcons can leave Ryan’s contract.
5. Cincinnati Bengals: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
The Bengals offensive line played poorly in 2020. Although some of the Penei Sewell they are wild on both sides of the corridor, that doesn’t change the fact that Sewell is a talented striker. The Bengals need to continue to infuse talent in this offensive line to protect Joe Burrow.
6. Philadelphia Eagles: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
I went and came back about which WR to take here to Philadelphia. Coach Nick Sirianni worked with players like Mike Williams, Michael Pittman and Tyrell Williams, who are bigger targets. But he also worked with Travis Benjamin, TY Hilton and Parris Campbell.
As a result, I decided to just choose the player with the highest rating on my board. Even if the Eagles have just created Jalen Reagor, that should not discourage them from adding Jaylen Waddle to your inconsistent reception room at best.
7. Detroit Lions: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota
Matthew Stafford officially left the Detroit building. The Lions negotiated it with the Los Angeles Rams for two choices in the first round – one in 2022 and one in 2023 – plus an additional choice in the third round this year. Lions also acquire Jared Goff in the business. Even so, negotiating for Goff should not prevent Lions from taking the defender from the future. Lions can cut / negotiate Goff after next season with few financial ramifications.

Trey Lance he has more than a few question marks around his inexperience and adaptation to the NFL. However, he is an incredibly talented passer with enough athletics to boot. With the team Detroit is building, it is clear that they are looking for reconstruction. Letting Lance develop while Goff goes out to play would be a smart move for Detroit.
8. Carolina Panthers: Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern
Without the best quarterbacks on the board in this 2021 NFL Draft Mock, Carolina is in a difficult situation.
Thus, the team turns to its next greatest need – the offensive attack. Russell Okung and Taylor Moton are projected free agents. Although the team is likely to invest to bring Moton back, the left tackle slot needs to be filled. It looks like Rashawn Slater will be a top 10 pick in the NFL’s 2021 Draft.
9. Denver Broncos: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Caleb Farley it is the most perfect Vic Fangio song of recent years. I would be surprised if Farley was not the choice for Denver here at choice nine with the need around the corner.
10. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
With Cowboys currently designed to lose Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis, singing is a high priority. Gathering Patrick Surtain II with teammate Trevon Diggs would be an attractive combination. Dan Quinn’s defense loves long corners skillfully with the ball, and Surtain fits.
11. New York Giants: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU
The Giants should leave the Golden Tate this off-season as a casualty. Although Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard are good players, neither is a true WR1 type.
Log in Ja’Marr Chase – Chase’s height and aggressive mindset as a pass catcher can help mitigate some of Daniel Jones’s placement problems and provide the Giants with a reliable target in the red zone.
12. San Francisco 49ers: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
Richard Sherman, Jason Verrett, K’Waun Williams, Ahkello Witherspoon, Dontae Johnson, Jamar Taylor, Emmanuel Moseley, Ken Webster.
This is the list of all San Francisco cornerbacks who have become free agents this season. Each corner that gave the 49ers a defensive stroke is defined as a free agent. Even if the 49ers bring some of them back, that’s a lot of churn to try.

13. Los Angeles Chargers: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
The Chargers have placed Trai Turner and Bryan Bulaga on the right side of the offensive line, but need to take care of the left side in this off season. Christian Darrisaw is my personal OT2 with his excellent strength, length and movement skills. Putting him on the left attack helps protect the franchise quarterback Justin Herbert.
14. Minnesota Vikings: Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan
Mike Zimmer expressed his disappointment at his defense several times during the season. When Zimmer’s defense was at its best, edge rushers were dominating the games. Everson Griffen, Brian Robison and Danielle Hunter impacted the games together at a high level, and I think Zimmer will want that after investing so much in the corner room last year.
15. New England Patriots: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
The Patriots are a big, explosive tight end game. Do I need to say more? Kyle Pitts it’s a freak of nature on the football field. Regardless of who the Patriots have in QB, a weapon like Pitts will make your life a lot easier.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
Micah Parsons it will be a difficult assessment for many. It does not fit perfectly like a traditional linebacker. In addition, several concerns outside the field and of character with him arose.
However, his skill set can be useful to him in Arizona. The team enjoyed a great season with Haason Reddick this year, and Parsons is very much in that mold. If Reddick went free, Parsons would be an ideal replacement.
