Buffalo Bills needs to improve from the start. Coach Sean McDermott said this after the game lost to the AFC Championship.
“This is a critical area for our football team to improve,” said McDermott. “We have to be able to affect the quarterback with a four-man race. Sometimes I thought so, other times we could have been better, so there is still meat on the bone there. “
Buffalo is already looking to meet this need. The Bills are one of many teams that have shown interest in JJ Watt since his release from the Houston Texans. Watt has no shortage of suitors, so Buffalo is far from able to win him over. If Buffalo loses Watt and fails to make a difference at the free agency, the 2021 NFL Draft is another point where Bills could try to find a crushing advantage.
In his last mock draft, Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network had Buffalo talk about his position in Round 1 by selecting Georgia EDGE Azeez Ojulari.
Here’s what Jeremiah said about the prospect.
The rush to approve Bills must be resolved in this off-season. I see Buffalo as the best option for free agent JJ Watt, but Ojulari would provide some energy if the team is still looking for help with the position when the draft begins.
In 30th place, Buffalo could really choose the best player available. If he is still on the board at that point, Ojulari would probably fit the bill.
