Lady Whistledown has great news: Netflix has found the pair of Lord Anthony Bridgerton. Sex education ‘s Simone Ashley will play Anthony’s love interest, Kate Sharma, in the next season of Bridgerton. Netflix made the announcement on Monday, describing Kate as a “smart and stubborn young woman who doesn’t suffer from fools – Anthony Bridgerton very included”.
The 2nd season is based on the second Bridgerton book, The viscount who loved me. As you might have guessed by the title, this means that he will focus heavily on the pursuit of Anthony’s love. In the book, Anthony chose someone to marry, but these plans are tested by your conquest is older, nosy sister Kate who apparently hates the viscount. Anthony soon realizes that as much as Kate makes his life hell, he does have secret feelings for her. We won’t spoil the rest, but you can guess what happens next.
