One guy claims he found the tip of a shrimp’s tail in his cereal – something General Mills says can’t be the case, but he’s definitely not buying it.
Writer / Producer Jensen Karp documented what he claims was a disgusting breakfast session on Monday, posting photos of various artifacts he says he found inside his new Cinnamon Toast Crunch box. He said he found shrimp tails there … 2 of them to be exact !!!
Jensen started by asking (and officially tagging) the CTC’s Twitter account why there were apparently leftover crustaceans in his newly opened box … which set off a great journey of what he describes as excuses and gas lighting.
Okay, after further investigation with my eyes, these are cinnamon-coated SHRIMP TAILS, you weirdos. Wasn’t I so mad until you tried to light me up? https://t.co/7DmADmoqUt pic.twitter.com/rSLE60pvoy

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, at first, responded by apologizing and asking for more details … while offering a new box as a quick fix. Then, the CTC stated that, after further examination, its quality control team came to the conclusion that they were not shrimp tails … but simply large dry lumps of sugar!
Jensen – who is married to the “Boy Meets World” star Danielle Fishel, BTW – didn’t seem to accept that answer … while posting close-up photos of the supposed shrimp tails. He says he went to dig further and found more disgusting things … including a small piece of string and small particles of black goo in some of the cereals.
In addition, many of the squares have black marks and some are dyed red? And yes, I ate a bowl before I realized all of that. pic.twitter.com/Y9WWmsTznP

@JensenKarp
Some people on the Internet have theorized that it could be rat or rat droppings … which opens up a new can of worms that makes us choke just thinking.
As for where things ended up here … Jensen says he’s going back to Costco – where he bought the cereal – to get some answers. He is also waiting for more information from General Mills, the parent company of CTC.
We also contacted General Mills … so far, no word back.
