The Knicks have lost five of their last six games. Fortunately for them, being the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference would still put them in a position to make the playoffs, at least for the play-in tournament. It’s been a tough road for Tom Thibodeau’s team, who lost a heartbreaker to the Bulls in Chicago on Monday night. Speaking of these Bulls, should the Knicks do whatever it takes to trade for their star Zach LaVine?
We discussed this and more in the last episode of the “Big Apple Buckets” podcast with Sal Licata and Jerome “The Junk Yard Dog” Williams, featuring an interview with Taylor Rooks of the Bleacher Report.
Big Apple Buckets with Sal and The Junk Yard Dog:
- Knicks has lost five of his last six games. The Knicks desperately need a marker. Could LaVine be the guy who would put the Knicks at the top?
- What would it take to catch it? Would you trade Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina and draft choices? Immanuel Quickley, Julius Randle and RJ Barrett are untouchable.
- Knox is no longer in the 10-man rotation. Dennis Smith Jr. going to the G League. Do these guys have any value in an exchange?
- The defense took the Knicks, but they need help to score. They need an outside sniper. Just a few guys who carry them. Randle is due to be in the Star Game on March 7 in Atlanta.
Inside the little house: The Junk Yard Dog tells the story of the meeting with Allen Iverson when they were together in Georgetown and what followed.
