Shooting leaves 2 people injured in Lehigh County Walmart: Police

WHITEHALL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – Whitehall Township police are investigating a shooting on Friday at a Lehigh County Walmart that left two people injured.

The incident happened just before 6 pm on block 2600 on MacArthur Road.

Police say two people were shot.

Witnesses at the scene say the incident happened very suddenly.

“When we were entering the parking lot, we saw one of the Whitehall police cars coming up through the main entrance here near TJ Maxx and heading towards Walmart,” said Scott Dias of Upper Macungie. “Within seconds, we saw that more than five or six police cars appeared.”

Qusai Muhasen, New Jersey, said, “When I’m coming in, I hear it as a boom boom. I thought it was a car exhaust or something.”

There is no current word on the condition of the victims or a reason.

No additional information has been released at this time by employees.
