Shinsuke Nakamura comments after bringing back his old theme tonight on WWE SmackDown

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown episode opened with a confrontation between Shinsuke Nakamura and Jey Uso. For his scheduled match against Uso, Nakamura went to the ring to the sound of his old WWE entry theme that he used as a good guy.

After his victory over Jey Uso, which cemented Nakamura’s status as a babyface, The King of Strong Style took to Twitter and stated that ‘The Rising Sun’ – which is the name of his old theme, is back forever.

Nakamura became heel in AJ Styles after his fight at WrestleMania 34, where Styles successfully defended the WWE championship. After Nakamura became a bad guy, he received a much more aggressive version of his babyface theme, entitled “Shadows of A Setting Sun”, which included Japanese vocals, courtesy of the band Shadows of The Sun.

Rumors have suggested that this was possibly done so that the WWE Universe could not sing along with its theme as it used to do on its hugely popular babyface theme.

Nakamura showed signs of turning his face after being attacked by WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso during the impressive Gauntlet Match that would have earned him a chance at the Tribal Chief’s Universal title and now it looks like the Artist has no problem using ‘ Rising Sun ‘again, with tonight’s victory over Uso cementing his facial status.

Nakamura faced Jey Uso in a heated battle in tonight’s opening match at SmackDown and looked ready to teach the six-time doubles champion a lesson for costing him the opportunity to contender No. 1 last week. Former Nakamura tag team partner Cesaro came out in the middle of the match against Uso and chaired the comments table.

During the Nakamura fight, Cesaro declared that he was entering the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble fight and stated that although he could not be there last week when Nakamura was attacked last week, he is on the show tonight to look after his friend.

Although Cesaro was close to the ring, Nakamura did not need the help of the Swiss Cyborg, as he managed to overthrow Uso with Kinshasa and won.
