Casey Krueger is set to make its first start in 2021 and earn 34º general cap. Krueger helped close the February 18 victory against Canada with a nine-minute pass as a left-back. This will be his first game for the U.S. since playing 90 minutes against Sweden on November 7, 2019 in Vlatko Andonovski’s first game as head coach.
Defense and team captain Becky Sauerbrunn will win 182WL cap. Sauerbrunn is currently 14 years oldº in USWNT history in uppercase and 12º in total minutes played.
Winning 28º career limit, Tierna Davidson will see his first action at the SheBelieves Cup 2021 and make his second start of the year. Davidson played the full 90 minutes at 6–0 victory against Colombia on January 22, their first game from the start and playing the first half of the 2020 SheBelieves Cup final against Japan on March 11 in Frisco, Texas.
This will be the seventh game that Davidson and Sauerbrunn debut together as a defender and the first under Andonvoski. The pair started Jill Ellis’ last match together as the quarterbacks on October 6, 2019 and their six previous games together in central defense took place in 2018.
After losing the first two games of the tournament due to a minor injury, Kelley O’Hara is scheduled to make its debut at the SheBelieves Cup 2021 and will win 134º general cap. Twice world champion and 2012 Olympic gold medalist, O’Hara has two goals and 19 assists in his international career.
Julie Ertz will be making her 108º appearance for the USA and is the the only player who played every minute of this year’s three games and leads the team with 360 minutes played in 2021. In fact, Ertz played every minute in each of the last 10 US games, playing 900 consecutive minutes, the longest streak of your USWNT career.
Kristie Mewis will be making his ninth career start and first start since March 10, 2014, becoming his first start for the USWNT in 2,543 days, the second longest period between starts in the team’s history. Keri Raygor spent 2,664 days between the beginning of 1994 to 2001. Mewis is one of six players to appear in all five games completed by the U.S. since the game resumed in November 2020.
Rose Lavelle will make his second consecutive start and his 51st general limit today. Lavelle was responsible for two of the five US winning goals since the resumption of the game in November 2020 – including the winner of the game at the opening of the SheBelieves Cup in the USA against Canada on February 18 – and has four goals in his last 11 departures for the USWNT. Prior to that, Lavelle had scored four goals in his previous 21 US games.
Christen Press will make his second consecutive start and win 142WL general cap to the USWNT. Press was one of only two players to play in all 24 WNT games in 2019 and played in all nine in 2020 before losing the top two in 2021.
The press was directly involved in 27 goals in his last 29 games for the USA, scoring 12 goals and assisting 15 more. She also took the free kick that led to Rose Lavelle’s victory against Canada on February 18.
Carli Lloyd will win 299º cap tonight, making her a is far from becoming the third and third American player – male or female – to play 300 or more times for her country, joining former teammates Kristine Lilly and Christine Pearce Rampone. With 123 career goals, Lloyd is just seven goals behind Lilly for the third goal of all time in US history.

Megan Rapinoe will make its second start in the 2021 SheBelieves Cup and will be worth 173rd US championship tonight against Argentina. Rapinoe played 64 minutes against Canada on February 18 and left the bench on February 21 against Brazil to play 19 minutes and score the decisive goal in a brilliant volley, taking her to 172 matches. She is tied with Alex Morgan 17º place on the all time list in the USA. She now has 55 career goals, just one less to tie Carin Gabarra by 11º all the time.
Rapinoe’s goal against Brazil was his fifth career goal in the SheBelieves Cup, drawing her with England’s Ellen White for the highest score in the tournament’s history.
