Former President Donald Trump said Meghan Markle “sucked,” said a former adviser in Steve Bannon’s article War room podcast earlier this week.
However, the former president declined to give a public opinion on Oprah Winfrey’s interview with the Duchess of Sussex, citing the treatment given to British television analyst Piers Morgan for speaking negatively about Markle.
Jason Miller said Trump said to him, “She’s no good … I said that and now everyone is watching,” said Miller. However, Trump said Miller could share his comments and “break the news” on the podcast if he wanted to, with one caveat: “Do you realize that if you say anything negative about Meghan Markle will be canceled, look at Piers (Morgan)” Trump said, according to Miller.
Trump said to Miller, “I’m on Team Piers,” who frequently interviewed Trump during his presidency.
“Piers Morgan is the best, he is the biggest, and they tried to cancel him simply because he criticized Meghan Markle,” said Miller that Trump told him.
Trump was already registered as not being a fan of Markle. When she called him “misogynist” and “divisive”, during the race for the 2016 election, he responded. “I didn’t know that she was nasty.”
Last September, Trump admitted he was “not a fan” when Markle and Prince Harry suggested a presidential endorsement by Joe Biden.
“And I would say that – and she probably heard it already – but I wish Harry the best of luck, because he will need it,” Trump said then.
