Sharon Stone says ‘canceling culture’ is “the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen”

Sharon Stone called the cancellation culture “the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen happen” in a new interview.

The actress shared her thoughts on the movement while promoting her new book The beauty of living twice in a new interview at SiriusXM’s Just Jenny.

“I think canceling the culture is the most stupid thing I’ve ever seen happen,” Stone told host Jenny Hutt. “I think that when people say things that they feel and want to say, and that is offensive to you, it is a brilliant opportunity for everyone to learn, grow and understand themselves.”

She continued: “We all came from different ages, different cultures, different backgrounds, different things and we had different experiences, different traumas, different education, different parents, different religious backgrounds, everything different,” she explained.

Sharon Stone said she believes that others should “give people the opportunity to discuss things before eliminating everyone else because of a statement, comment or misunderstanding”.

“Stop being so small. People did much more than one sentence, ”she added, saying that people should“ grow ”and“ develop some empathy ”.

The actress recently shared an excerpt from her memories with Vanity Fair, recalling the time that a producer invited her to have sex with a co-star.

“He was pacing around in his office with the [malted milk] balls falling out of the spout and rolling all over the wooden floor while he explained to me why I should fuck my co-star, ”wrote Sharon Stone.

“Why, in his day, he made love to Ava Gardner on screen and it was so amazing! Now, just the scary thought of him in the same room with Ava Gardner gave me a break. “
