Sharon Stone revealed that she covers hotel windows with aluminum foil after Mick Jagger said it would help her sleep.

The 63-year-old actress was informed by the 77-year-old leader of the Rolling Stones that the useful tip would be her only hope of “a decent sleep” on the road.

Writing in her book, The Beauty of Living Twice, she said, ‘I did it. My room was a grave. I would go in and fall on the bed fully dressed. ‘

The Basic Instinct star explained: ‘He [Mick] told me to sleep well, when he arrived in a new city, he bought several rolls of aluminum foil and duct tape and then put the aluminum foil on all the windows in the hotel rooms,

‘I made it. My room was a grave. I went in and fell on the bed fully dressed and my cat, Boxer, curled up around my head, digging his claws into me, cushioning me until I fell asleep. ”

The title of Sharon’s memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, refers to the second chance in life that the star gained after surviving a stroke and brain hemorrhage in 2001.

“I feel like I died,” the actress told Closer Weekly. ‘This kind of giant white light vortex was on me and – poof! I kind of took off into this glorious, brilliant white light.

At the time of the stroke, Sharon was living in San Francisco with her journalist husband Phil Bronstein, from whom she later separated in 2003.

When the bleeding occurred in September 2001, the actress thought she was having a stroke and waited three days before going to the hospital.

The incident stopped her from acting while learning to speak and walk correctly again. “It almost looks like all of my DNA has changed,” she said.

While in the white light, she said that she met with her deceased friends.

‘I started to see and be known by some of my friends … people who were very, very dear to me [who had died]. I had a real journey with it that took me to places here and beyond. ‘

Sharon added: ‘But it was too fast – whoosh! Suddenly, I was back. I was in my body. ‘

The mother of three said, “It has affected my life so deeply that it will never be the same again.”

And she said there were benefits to the near-death experience.

Sharon explained: ‘I can not be afraid to die and I can tell other people that it is a fabulous thing and that death is a gift.

‘When death comes to you, as it will, it is a beautiful and glorious thing. I had an incredible sense of well-being and the feeling that it is so close. Death – it is very close and very safe. It is not a distant or scary thing. ‘

“I feel like God kept me around for a reason,” said The Muse star.
