Sharon Osbourne can be in hot water with CBS followed by heated with Sheryl Underwood in a recent episode of The conversation.
The problem started out of thin air, when Osbourne’s friend, Piers Morgan, it hit Meghan Markle after the televised interview of the Duchess of Essex on March 7 with Oprah Winfrey.
“I wouldn’t believe it if she read a weather report,” Morgan, 59, cut the program the next day, Good morning Great Britain.

Two days later, Osbourne, 68, and Underwood had an intense conversation about the controversy surrounding Morgan.
“Did I like everything he said? Do I agree with what he said? No, ”said Osbourne in The conversation. “It is not my opinion … I support him for his freedom of speech, and he is my friend.”
Underwood, 57, asked Osbourne what she would say to people who felt “that while you’re next to your friend, it looks like you’ve given validation or safe haven to something he said is racist, even if you don’t agree? “
An emotional Osbourne asked Underwood for an explanation of what Morgan had said was racist.
“I’m going to ask you again, Sheryl, I’ve been asking you during the break and I’m asking you again, and don’t try to cry because if someone should be crying, it should be me,” said Osbourne.
“Educate me! Tell me when you hear him say racist things, ”she continued.

Is Piers Morgan ‘racist’?
Underwood responded to his co-host, saying that “it is not the exact words of racism, it is the implication and the reaction to it”.
“Not wanting to approach it because she’s a black woman and trying to reject it or make it look less than it is, that’s what makes it racist,” said Underwood. “But now, I’m talking to a woman who I believe is my friend and I don’t want anyone here to see this and think that we are attacking you for being racist.”
In the wake of the exchange, CBS announced an investigation into the situation.
“We are committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace,” the network said in a March 12 statement. “All matters relating to the Wednesday episode of The conversation are currently under internal review. “
On the day the network made the announcement, Underwood, 57, admitted on The Steve Harvey Morning Show that her conversation with Osbourne caught her off guard.

“I thought we were talking as we normally do. But then I got the feeling that, wait a minute, it’s not what it usually is, ”explained Underwood. “I also had another feeling that, okay, Sheryl, it’s time for you to take a leadership position … it’s time for you to show what you’re made of, and in a personal way. No matter what anyone says about you, I can show you something better than what I can tell you. “
Osbourne later issued a public apology.
“After some reflection, after sitting down with your comments and sitting down with my heart, I would like to address the discussion on The Talk last Wednesday,” said Osbourne on Twitter. “I have always been embraced with a lot of love and support from the black community. and I have deep respect and love for the black community. “
“For anyone of color who I offended and / or for anyone who is confused or discouraged by what I said, I am really sorry. I panicked, I felt taken aback, I became defensive and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being a racist to take control, ”continued Osbourne.
“There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism, so feeling associated with it has driven me crazy. I am not perfect, I continue to learn like all of us and I will continue to learn, listen and do better ”, he added.
