Sharen Stone says canceling culture is stupid

Sharon Stone is not a fan of the culture of cancellation – not at all. THE Basic instinct star made his thoughts on the subject crystal clear on SiriusXM Just Jenny show, saying, “Canceling culture is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen happen.”

“I think when people say things that they feel and want to say, and that’s offensive to you, it’s a brilliant opportunity for everyone to learn, grow and understand each other,” explained Stone.

“We all came from different ages, different cultures, different backgrounds, different things, and we had different experiences, different traumas, different educations, different parents, different religious backgrounds, everything different,” continued the 63-year-old actress. “Give people the opportunity to discuss things before eliminating everyone else because of a statement, a comment or a misunderstanding. Stop being so small. The world is bigger.”

Stone, who never bites his tongue, is promoting his new book The beauty of living twice.

“People did a lot more than one sentence,” she said. “How to grow. Grow a little empathy.”

This is not the first time Stone has told some people to “grow up” on their press tour. On Wednesdays The last show with Stephen Colbert, she was asked if she would like to atone – or not – for taking pictures on the set. Stone said he had no time, but defended Christian Bale whose 2009 explosion on the set of Terminator Salvation leaked to the press.

“People, you know, want to move up in their business as he tries to completely transform himself into someone else,” Stone shared. “So he’s like, ‘Get away from me!’ And so they want to criticize you for not being available to them. I think a little … you know, maybe they should just grow up. “

Here it is.
