Atlanta officials confirmed the fire that destroyed ShaqThe iconic Krispy Kreme was caused by an arsonist … and now, they say they are on the hunt for the suspect.
The famous donut shop – located on Avenida Ponce de Leon and connected to Martin Luther King jr. – it was almost completely burned just after midnight on 10 February.
Officials say 2 employees who were in the store managed to escape the fire safely … but the place suffered SERIOUS damage from the flames.

Now, authorities say they believe the fire was NOT caused by an accident … but by a person who wanted to see it burn.
Authorities say they have a surveillance video of the suspect … and revealed footage of the person from the video on Friday morning. Authorities added that there is now a $ 10,000 reward for helping to identify the suspect.

“The fire that occurred at @krispykreme Donuts (295 Ponce de Leon) on February 10, 2021 was determined as a result of ARSON,” officials said. “We are seeking public help to identify and locate the suspect in these photos.”

The donut shop, in turn, is one of the most famous in the country … it was purchased by Shaq in 2016 and gained fame in 1968 for donating boxes of goodies to the mourners who flocked to Atlanta to mourn the death of MLK Jr.
Shaq promised shortly after the fire to fix the place … writing on his social media, “We will recover better than ever.”
