Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, Shakeela is a biographical film by the adult star Shakeela who made his name in the film industry in southern India in the 1990s and early 2000s. The trailer for the film starring Bollywood actress Richa Chadha in the lead role was launched.
The trailer gives us an insight into Shakeela’s rugged journey, from the time when she lived a simple life as a teenager to her tête-à-tête with the entertainment industry. Shakeela became popular with the masses after it started appearing in light porn movies. It gives a tough competition to all male stars in the southern film industry. The trailer also sees Pankaj Tripathi as a star who ends up being threatened by Shakeela’s success.
While Hindi and other versions of the film hit the screens yesterday, the Telugu version will be released on January 1 by UFO Moviez.
