Shailene Woodley confirmed that she is engaged to Aaron Rodgers during an interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday – and gave viewers a first look at her engagement ring.
The brightness of the 29-year-old actress from the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 37, appears to have a large round center stone, and can be glimpsed several times throughout the segment while Woodley talked about the couple’s big step.
“It’s not new news for us, so it’s kind of funny that everyone is freaking out about it,” said the “Big Little Lies” star. “We were like, ‘Yes, we’ve been engaged for a while’.”
Woodley described his soccer player fiance as “an incredible and wonderful human being”, joking: “I never thought I would be engaged to someone who made a living throwing balls”.
“I never thought as a child, ‘Yes, when I grow up, I’m going to marry someone who plays balls, yes!’ But he’s really good at that. “
He added the star “Divergent”, who said he met Rodgers during the pandemic: “I don’t know him as the football guy. I know him as, like, the nerd who wants to host ‘Jeopardy!’ This is the guy I know. “
Woodley and Rodgers – who share the same astrologer – were romantically linked in early February. Days later, Rodgers announced that he was engaged, but kept his bride’s name a secret at the time.
Rodgers has dated Danica Patrick, while Woodley was linked to rugby player Ben Volavola.
