The actress broke the news during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night.
“Yes, we are engaged,” said Woodley. “We are engaged. But for us, it’s not new news, you know, so it’s kind of funny. Everyone is freaking out about it now and we thought, ‘Yes, we’ve been engaged for a while.’ “
Woodley also said that, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she has not yet seen her fiance play as a defender in the Green Bay Packers.
“We met during this crazy time, and all the stadiums where he was playing were closed, so I haven’t been to a football game yet. I haven’t really grown up with sports, especially American sports; it was never really on my radar.”
Rodgers recently confirmed that he was engaged during a press conference, but did not disclose to Woodley.
“It is an honor to win this award for the third time,” said Rodgers earlier this month, after being named the Most Valuable Player in the NFL. “2020 was definitely a crazy year, full of many changes, growth, some incredible and memorable moments, 180 consecutive days of having shaved my nose hair, playing for few or no fans throughout the season, I got engaged and I played the best football of my career. “
