It is officially official: Sex and the City is returning to the small screen through HBO Max in what is being dubbed “a new chapter” in the historic franchise. The news was confirmed on Sunday night on social media with the return of the protagonists Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who will repeat their main roles as Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda, respectively.
According to HBO Max, the series – which will have the new title Is that so… – “Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte will follow as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”
The 10-and-a-half-hour series is scheduled to begin production in New York in late spring.
