Sex And The City is being restarted on HBO Max, but without the original star Kim Cattrall.
Cattrall, who played the man-eater Samantha in the hit series, refused to participate in the new show that will bring together Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.
And author Candace Bushnell, who wrote the book on which the TV show was based, told PageSix.com that the reboot entitled And Just Like That … will work just fine without Cattrall.

Bushnell said he is sure that the reboot writers will have plenty of ideas to work with.
“You know what, I think everything is fine,” she told the outlet.
‘I also think it will be interesting … there are a lot of interesting characters like Miranda. We are all Mirandas. Miranda is an interesting character – but I don’t know what they will do. ‘
Bushnell added: ‘Samantha will always be an inspiration to them … So somehow, I imagine that she will be there in spirit and as an inspiration that will give them a chance to explore sexuality with different characters.’

Variety reported on Monday that Parker, Nixon and Davis will each earn more than $ 1 million per episode to reprise their SATC characters on the subscription streaming service.
They will also serve as executive producers in 10 episodes.
The HBO Max series will follow the trio as they sail for love and friendship in their fifties.
