Seth Rogen’s new cannabis lifestyle site has been temporarily closed due to high traffic

Seth Rogen’s business is booming.

The 38-year-old comedian recently launched a cannabis lifestyle brand, which launched in the United States on Thursday. Shortly after launch, the site crashed due to high demand.

“Hello !! We are experiencing tremendous traffic at the moment. Thank you!” Rogen tweeted Thursday morning, marking the initial success of the brand. “We have a nice little waiting room set up on the website to manage this. If you’re having trouble accessing the waiting room, try updating your browser or clearing the cache. Thanks yay !!”

At the a follow-up tweet, he assured fans that there was “another way to get” out-of-stock items through the site, but offered no additional details.

It seems that the “tremendous amount of traffic” has become very difficult to control, as the “This Is the End” actor tweeted less than an hour later, telling fans that the site was down for maintenance.

“Well … we underestimated it again. Due to the insane traffic, we temporarily removed the Houseplant website while I learn to write the code,” he said. “I’m sorry if you were waiting. There are still a lot of products available! I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready again.”

The outage did not last long, as Rogen accessed Twitter again, a few hours later, to announce that the site was up and running again.
