Seth Rogen brings his cannabis company, Houseplant, to the US

Houseplant, the Canadian cannabis company co-founded by actor Seth Rogen, will launch this month in the United States.

“If you know anything about me, I’m going to assume it’s that I really love marijuana,” said Rogen in a Twitter video on Monday morning.

Actor “Pineapple Express” and “Knocked Up” announced that Houseplant’s homemade pottery and marijuana flower products will be launched in California’s cannabis dispensaries next week.

Houseplant’s three varieties are those that Rogen likes to smoke “all day”, like Pancake Ice, which has THC levels of more than 30 percent, he tweeted.

The Houseplant site crashed on Monday afternoon, shortly after Rogen shared the news with his more than 9 million followers on Twitter.

Houseplant was founded in May 2019 and is partially controlled by Canopy Growth Corporation, a Canadian cannabis conglomerate that has signed deals with big names like Snoop Dog and Martha Stewart.

The Toronto-based company currently offers dehydrated cannabis varieties, softgel capsules and pre-laminated joints in stores across Canada.

Representatives for Rogen, who is Canadian-American, did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News. Canopy Growth Corporation also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Actor Mindy Kaling tweeted his congratulations to Rogen on the announcement.

“Making me want to buy marijuana! And use it! Everyone wants to see a paranoid Indian tweeting at 7 pm!” Is it over there wrote.

“We also got that fennel, Mindy!” Rogen answered. “It will only make it easier for you to sleep like a comfortable blanket.”
