Seth Rogen announced the launch in the United States of his weed company Houseplant.

The Pineapple Express actor, 38, revealed that his brand of ‘smoked’ marijuana will arrive in California on March 11.

‘If you know anything about me, I assume it is that I really love marijuana,’ Seth started on his Instagram account. ‘But what you probably don’t know about me is that I’ve been working for my own marijuana company for the past 10 years and we’re finally ready to launch in America.

– It’s called a houseplant, and what we’re doing is bringing you the best varieties of grass that were handpicked – and by that I mean hand smoked – by me. It’s just the herb I love that I want to smoke, it comes in these lovely cans. We have an orange for sativa and a purple for indica. And even accumulates! ‘

Not only does Houseplant include Seth’s favorite weed varieties, but it also comes with accessories like table lighters, a vinyl box set and even an actor-designed ashtray set.

“We have things like this table lighter, which is a table lighter with an ashtray for the lid,” he said. ‘I lose my lighters all the time, but not anymore because this guy is hard to lose! This is just the beginning. Honestly, this is my life’s work, and I’ve never been so excited about anything. Hope you like.’

Seth initially launched Houseplant, a line of pre-laminated joints and soft gel capsules, in 2019 with Evan Goldberg.

The products have been sold in several Canadian provinces, but Houseplant will now be available in California.

The products will initially be available for purchase on the Houseplant website, followed by plans to sell them in several California dispensaries this spring.

Rogen and Goldberg ‘personally’ tested hundreds of varieties before landing on the three available at launch: two sativas, Pancake Ice and Diablo Wind, plus an indica, Pink Moon.

“The houseplant was born out of our love and passion for cannabis, design and art,” said Seth in a press release.

‘Evan and I also recognize that our lifelong dream of starting a cannabis lifestyle brand like Houseplant comes with a commitment to changing the unfair and racist cannabis laws that still exist in today’s society.

“We understand our responsibility to help correct these mistakes and we are dedicated to creating a more diverse and egalitarian cannabis industry.”
