Seth Rogen and Ted Cruz clash on Twitter over Walt Disney’s legacy

A Twitter rivalry between actor Seth Rogen and Republican Senator Ted Cruz increased this weekend in a Disney movie and saw the comedian and lawmaker discuss about Walt Disney’s legacy.

The exchange began on Thursday, when the Texas legislature responded to a tweet from MGM Studios asking the audience what was the first movie they saw in theaters.

“Fantasia,” Cruz replied. “I was going through a revival of the film. Scared me; I cried – I was 4 years old. My mom had to take me out.

The next day, Rogen answered to Cruz’s tweet about Disney’s 1940 classic.

“Everyone who made that movie would hate you,” wrote the “Superbad” actor.

Cross answered Saturday: “They’re all dead. I think we’re fine. And Walt Disney was a Republican.”

But the eye for an eye would not end there.

Rogen later tweeted to Cruz: “Jokes aside, @tedcruz is a fascist piece of s —.”

Cruz countered that those aligned with the Democratic Party will try to cancel anyone they disagree with, adding that “many people in Hollywood are conservative” and “gagged by the fascist left”.

Rogen had unleashed his fury on Cruz for the first time on Wednesday, shortly after the Texas senator criticized President Biden’s decision to return to the Paris Climate Agreement.

“By re-joining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates that he is more interested in the opinions of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and harm the lives of Americans.” Cruz tweeted.

The tweet prompted Rogen to respond directly to Cruz with profanity: “Fuck you, fascist.”
