Seth Curry thinks Mavs made a ‘bad business decision’ by switching him

Mark Cuban is known for making great business decisions.

After all, he has a seat in the “Shark Tank”.

According to Seth Curry, however, Cuban made a bad move to send him to Philadelphia in low season.

Curry insisted on Thursday night that there were no hard feelings when he and the 76ers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 111-97. The Cuban, he said, simply missed.

“Never anything personal, man,” said Curry, via USA Today. “I have a lot of respect for a lot of these guys over there. I just think they made a bad business decision, but it happens all the time, do you know what I’m saying? It is what it is.”

Curry was traded to Philadelphia in November in exchange for Josh Richardson and a future draft choice. Although it is early, Curry is having a career season with his new team.

He has an average of 12.9 points, a career high with 2.7 assists, while kicking better than 45 percent behind the hoop – one of the best in the league. He’s a consistent starter for the 76ers now too, after starting 25 games last season in Dallas.

The 30-year-old increased 15 points by hitting 6 of 9 on the field on Thursday night, too.

Perhaps most importantly, the 76ers is winning. They have won four out of the last five and are at the top of the standings at the Eastern Conference.

The Mavericks, on the other hand, have 15-16, although they have won six of the last eight. Richardson’s statistics are quite identical to Curry’s, as he averages 12.9 points and 2.6 assists per game in Dallas.

In the end, Curry doesn’t seem to care about the business. He’s playing better than ever. And he is in a team that is in first place after another victory.

“[It was just] another night to go out and get a win and play well as a team, ”said Curry, via USA Today. “This is the ultimate goal is to get a victory, so the main thing was to see a lot of my boys all down at the end of the track and just catch up and play again.”
