Johnson of Bucks County, near Philadelphia, remained in prison Friday night, NBC Philadelphia reported. An online survey on Sunday did not show that he is still in prison.

Bucks County police issued a warning in September about a serial car burglar, posting security footage of Johnson allegedly involved in criminal activity.

The suspect “is believed to be behind about 1,000 illegal vehicle entrances across Bucks County and parts of New Jersey,” police said last year, targeting unlocked cars while wearing black clothes and white and orange sneakers.

The police observed his “distinctive style of walking and running”, where he tiptoed.

“As a result of our office’s tireless investigation in partnership with local authorities, this community can rest easy knowing that the individual accused today of breaking into more than 1,000 cars in Bucks County is being held responsible,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in a statement.

It is not clear whether Johnson has representation.
