Sephiroth deals over 59,000 damage with a single Giga Flare in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

This will never happen in a match, but it’s still cool

Sephiroth is, of course, one of the most iconic villains in the history of video games, so it seems appropriate that he also ends up as the character with the greatest damage potential in all of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Nintendo Unity creators recently produced a video detailing how Sephiroth’s Giga Flare, which typically causes 47% of the damage, can be increased by more than a dozen different multipliers to increase that number above 59,000.

This unprecedented amount of impact is achieved through the use of items, spirits, stage hazards, assistance trophies and some exploration of some menu options that many players have probably never touched before.

The biggest increase in damage, in fact, comes from the Vince Assist Trophy, considering that it multiplies the damage under your painting by three, which also accumulates / combines with Sephiroth’s own winged buff, Franklin’s emblems for reflection multipliers, as well as the Dark Emperor of the Find Mii stage – who can apparently give 1.78 times increased damage.

Giga Flare to the absolute maximum also needs to be executed against Shulk, as his Buster art makes him suffer 1.3 times the damage of incoming attacks, in addition to Sephiroth having to be increased in the Custom Balance options as well.

What really pushes the neutral special over the limit is the fact that it technically hits several times at full load, so the combined multipliers lead to a lot of hits that deal with more than 5,000 percent each before the final explosion treat over 16,000 for a total of 59,275 percent.

Something that is extra crazy is that Sephiroth can probably hit over 100,000 damage if it reaches the final Giga Flare reflex with the Home Run Bat, but that was not taken into account in the setup here, as this would technically require the villain to Final Fantasy performed a second attack.

If you want to have your mind blown up like Shulk’s health bar by the science of Smash, we suggest taking a look at the full Nintendo Unity video below, going through the step-by-step process.
