A snowstorm on the East Coast is starting the Senate week.

The east coast is being hit by a snowstorm, with the possibility of snowing until Tuesday.
Although Washington, DC, received just a few inches of snow on Sunday, according to The Washington Post, parts of the northeast are expected to receive more than a foot of snow. The National Weather Service is forecasting that New York City could increase up to 22 inches by Tuesday morning.
The Senate held an initial vote for Mayorkas on Thursday, where he defeated a Republican obstructionist. But the Senate struck a deal to hold its final confirmation vote on Monday, allowing senators to travel back to their home states over the weekend.
The delay comes amid what appears to be a busy week in Washington as Democrats prepare to pave the way for legislation against coronavirus.
The House will vote this week on a budget resolution, the first step in overcoming the Senate’s 60-vote obstruction using reconciliation.
Senate Democrats also hope to pass the budget resolution this week, although it was already shaping up to be an aggressive schedule, even before the snow was delayed.
The approval of a budget in the Senate includes holding a vote-a-rama, a marathon in which any senator who wants to force the vote on an amendment can do so.

But he warned that Democrats will follow this path if they fail to convince 10 Senate Republicans into a deal that would be very similar to Biden’s $ 1.9 trillion proposal.
